Course Description
Course Description:
Wound healing is a complex, regulated process in which regulated collagen deposition, in response to tissue injury, results in scar formation. Many chronic wounds are the result of chronic inflammation. The lymphatic system is charged with processing inflammation. Why can't or won't the system do its job?
And how do we, as manual therapists, tackle the edema and scar tissue? The Scars and Inflammation course will take a look at the wound healing process and the most recent research that stretches across several disciplines to give us the critical thinking wisdom to create a sound, client-centered plan of treatment.
